The MU IV 195 HW is a high-performance “Hot Wire” TIG welding head engineered for precision multi-pass welding of pipes and tubes. Designed to deliver both flexibility and consistent weld quality, it offers exceptional durability and ease of use—making it an ideal choice for industrial applications requiring stable operation and high productivity.
This welding head incorporates a versatile “one-size-fits” design paired with the Grip-it clamping mechanism to ensure fast attachment across multiple applications. Operators benefit from a quick-change electrode system that reduces downtime, as well as an integrated wire feeder equipped with closed-loop regulation for precise control of wire speed.
The unit includes motorized Arc Voltage Control (AVC) and Torch Oscillation Control (OSC), enabling optimized performance during multi-pass welding of medium-wall pipes. A reinforced cable-hose assembly, developed with high-temperature-resistant materials and water cooling, ensures long-term durability. Additionally, the rotation clutch system makes cable management easy and efficient.
The MU IV 195 HW simplifies handling and adjustment through its user-friendly design and “one-side” clamping approach, allowing operators to mount the unit quickly and efficiently. Its wide working range accommodates outer diameters from 3″ to 7.7″ (76 – 195 mm), making it suitable for a broad variety of pipe welding tasks.
