The Tip Tig process is a globally patented TIG process that combines patented wire feed technology which creates a vibratory effect on the wire in addition to applying a hotwire current to the filler metal prior to entering the weld puddle. The vibratory effect is created by a linear forward/backward mechanical motion created by the custom wire feeder system. The hot wire current is created by a secondary power source within the TipTig unit.
It uses TIG DC for hot wire applications and TIG AC for cold wire applications. Tip Tig’s advanced technology helps to semi-automate the welding process which creates a higher welding speed and easy use. The process creates reliable and reproducible welds that are perfect in appearance with no weld spatters. There is no cleaning or grinding necessary. Users produce these quality welds at a faster rate, increasing productivity.
Applications: Low-, medium- and high alloyed steel, Duplex, Super duplex, Copper and Titanium, Stellite, highly heat resistant, and galvanized materials.
