The Sales Support Specialist is responsible for providing operational, technical, and administrative support to the Outside Sales Representative. This role serves as the primary internal contact for assigned accounts, ensuring customer inquiries, quotations, and projects are handled accurately and efficiently from initial request through order completion.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, technically inclined, customer-focused, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and the technical aptitude to develop equipment quotations and troubleshoot customer issues.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Support

• Prepare accurate and timely equipment and parts quotations.
• Build technical quotations based on customer specifications and application requirements.
• Review customer requirements and collaborate with the sales representative to recommend appropriate solutions.
• Project manage large quotes and orders along with other internal departments.
• Identify potential delays and proactively communicate solutions.

Customer Service

• Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned customers.
• Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email in a professional and timely manner.
• Resolve customer concerns by coordinating with internal departments.
• Process customer requests related to orders, product information, and service needs.
• Maintain strong customer relationships through proactive communication.

Customer Follow-Up

• Contact customers regarding open orders, delivery schedules, and project updates.
• Perform post-sale follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Maintain CRM records with customer interactions and sales activity.

Technical Support

• Troubleshoot basic technical issues with customers.
• Interpret customer requirements and recommend appropriate equipment or replacement parts.
• Assist customers in identifying products based on job specifications.
• Maintain knowledge of company products and industry applications.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in sales support, inside sales, customer service, or project coordination.
• Strong mechanical or technical aptitude.
• Experience creating technical quotations is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational, attention to detail, and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, HupSpot, and NetSuite.
• Initiative and follow-through
• Allowing the Outside Sales Representative to focus on developing new business and strengthening customer relationships.

This position plays a critical role in driving customer satisfaction, increasing sales efficiency, and supporting overall business growth.

Pay: $24.68 – $29.72 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
