AMI Arc Machines Tube Alignment Guage
The Tube Alignment Gauge is an accessory which is easily field or factory installed into most Model 9 series tube welding heads. It is used to automatically align the weld joint to the electrode. Use of the Tube Alignment Gauge will increase productivity on bench-work applications and is a must in areas where visibility of the weld joint to the electrode is limited.
Operation is easy and requires no tools. The outer knob is pushed in and locked with a ¼ turn. This provides a “dead stop” for the tube or fitting. The first tube is placed against the stop and clamped in place. This positions the weld joint directly in line with the electrode. Then the knob is simply unlocked allowing for installation of the second tube or fitting.
