The automatic orbital welding of “pulled tee” type joints can be accomplished using the Arc Machines’ weld heads listed below. A tube stub, sanitary ferrule or other similar fitting may be welded to the “pull”. When the tube or fitting is relatively short, our Fitting Support Mandrel is used to extend the grip area, and provide support for the weld head.

Each of the weld heads listed will accommodate a range of tube or fitting sizes. Tooling for this application includes adjustable-angle or extended electrode holder, a cylindrical gas seal, sized to fit the “run” diameter, and a clamp insert sized to fit the “branch” tube or Fitting Support Mandrel.
